What is the Training in Discipleship and Ministery Programme?
The Training in Discipleship and Ministry (TDM) has as its motto, “Preparing God’s People for Service” The programme is geared towards empowering leaders and other church workers for service. The TDM Programme was developed in 2004 by a partnership between the Christian Education Department and the Mission Agency. In addition to the two year programme which covers a range of courses TDM also conducts short courses that address specific themes and topics. The courses include Introducing and Understanding the Bible, Basic Counselling, Urban and Rural Ministries, Reading the Bible in the Caribbean, Christian Ethics, Caribbean Spirituality, Practical Theology, Pastoral Care, Baptist Beliefs and Practices, Understanding Worship, Christian Leadership and Church Administration and Communication, Preaching, Special Needs Ministries and Social Ethical Issues in the Caribbean. A Practicum is also a requirement (click on link TDM Brochure).

Send the completed form to the Jamaica Baptist Union Mission Agency (JBUMA) Office, 2b Washington Boulevard, Kingston 20 or to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 533, Montego Bay #2, St. James.
Attend an interview (if requested).

Eastern Region: Mona Baptist Church Educational, Papine, St. Andrew
Central: Ocho Rios Baptist Church
A graduation is held at the end of the programme and a diploma awarded.
